今回は『多（他）言語の習得』についてお話したいと思います。

今日中国系フィリピン人のダニエル（以下ダニ）と友達になったのですが、彼は1年間東京の大学で寮生活をしており、とても日本語が達者です。どれくらいかと申しますと、敬語はもちろん、訛りも少なくスラングやジョークなども軽々と言ってのけるほどです。彼と夜、食事に出かけたのですが店員さんにはフィリピン語で話し、私とは日本語で話し、見ててとてもカッコよく思えました。彼は英語と2種類の中国語、計5ヶ国語出来、今は韓国語も練習してるそうです。いやぁ、ほんとに凄い！

他の言語を習得するためには2つのSTEPがあると彼と触れ合って思いました。1つ目は最低限の知識（文字,文法,単語,発音）をほぼ独学で頑張るということです。まずこれが非常に大きな壁ですが、映画や音楽など好きなところから入るとモチベーションは保ちやすいです。2つ目は習得したい言語を使う人との関りを増やすことです。長期留学が一番活かせるのはここです。特に、自分の母国語も話せる人と関わると、非常に習得が早くなると思います。言語と文化には強い結び付きがあり、異文化を学ぶには外国人と触れ合うのが一番です。

彼から学んだフィリピン語を一つ紹介します！「コンティ！」意味は「少し」

This time, I'd love to talk about "Commanding foreign languages"

Today, I've become friends with Chinese Filipino, Daniel (Dani). He studied at University in Tokyo for a year as a dorm student. He can command Japanese language very well even he can use slang, say jokes and no strange accents. I went to eat with him tonight. He talked staff in Filipino while talked me in Japanese, which I found he is so awesome! He can also speak English and two kinds of Chinese languages fluently. Furthermore, he try to get Korean language! That's incredible!

I perceived good way to get another language is having communication with someone who can command the language and your mother tongue. Dani is the one for me to learn English and Tagalog! He knows language, culture and so on. 

I introduce a Tagalog word that I learned from him. "konti!" meaning "a little"

"Excuse me ate. May I have rice konti?"
